Always been a rebel...

Always been a rebel...

Devin McDermott

I've started breaking one of the cardinal rules of writing online.

One that's so universal, almost no one even thinks of breaking it.

Everyone says to write at a 5th-grade level so that the maximum number of people possible will be able to understand what you're saying.

But I have more confidence in you than that. And, frankly, people who read at a 5th-grade level probably aren't the kinds of people I'm interested in attracting. Much more interested in the kinds of guys who want to do big things with their lives, which most times also means they're well-educated, articulate, ambitious sorts. So shout-out to you - thanks for being here.

What can I say?

I've always been a rebel.

And it's something that's served me well.

It ain't normal to drop out of college and get into selling face-to-face. (Talk about uncertain...)

It ain't normal to biohack and be incredibly healthy after a debilitating illness nearly took you out.

And it ain't normal to quit porn and masturbation, take iron-grip control over all other digital and real-world vices, and naturally live a life of discipline where it never even feels like you're missing out on anything...

Yet here we are.

And while the specifics for you are definitely going to be different...

I know we have that in common.

You don't want to be normal either.

Which means you can't be doing the exact same things that most people are doing.

Building good habits isn't optional.

And neither is removing the bad ones that drain your energy, mind, and momentum... which most people will never bother doing. Because one or two really bad habits, like pornography, can literally undermine all your best intentions. Becoming who you want to be isn't just about what you do, but also what you choose *not to do. *So if quitting it hasn't been as big of a priority as it rightfully should be...

Change that.

It's worth the effort.
