Once in a lifetime experiences

Devin McDermott

5 years ago, not long after having quit porn and started my business in earnest, I made a decision that further changed my trajectory.

In ways I never could have imagined, frankly.

When a friend from the online business world asked me if I wanted to travel to Mexico for a few months, I said yes, and I thought it would be just that...

A few months.

What's funny is that he didn't like it one bit.

He left after a couple weeks.

Meanwhile I'm still here nearly 5 years later.

This place has been incredibly beneficial for my growth in so many ways that maybe I'll dive into more in the future...

But there's one part I'm thinking of in particular.

Yesterday, I traveled to a different part of Mexico with my girlfriend.

It's my first time going to another part of the country where they don't speak English so much...

And uhh..

Nobody speaks it here.

But what a cool experience that is.

Because I've spent a good chunk of the last 4 years and some change going from absolutely no Spanish beyond "hola" and "gato" to being fluent and having deep, hours-long conversations with my girl speaking Argentinian Spanish at full speed.

Pretty awesome.

But what I'm realizing from this trip...

Is just how much of the world has opened up to me thanks to my newfound ability to speak Spanish fluently. So many places I can go, cultures I can experience, views I can enjoy... while communicating effectively with the locals wherever I go.

And literally none of this would have happened if I hadn't made that fateful decision 7 years ago to quit porn, heal my brain, and get my shyt together.

I just wasn't capable of doing what needed to be done to create this lifestyle back then.

With a brain that was suffering from Dopamine Downregulation and Hypofrontality, the two main physical brain changes that occur from using porn, I just wasn't firing on all cylinders and maybe not even half of them.

To say I'm grateful would be an understatement.

And I share this with you for one big reason:

Because I want you to understand that you can never really know what you're capable of, if you had a fully healthy brain, while you're still stuck in the dopamine trap. But you can start to dream about it through the experience of other people. If I've been able to change so much in the wake of making that change... what could be possible in your life?

And while I don't know your specifics, I do know one thing for sure:

You're capable of more than you realize.

Things will be infinitely better in ways you can't yet foresee when you quit.

... and the main thing standing between you and that reality is a solid, step-by-step process to follow -- instead of relying on willpower and blockers that always fail -- and perhaps some accountability to hold you to it.

Which is why in the very near future I'm going to share something with you that could help a lot.

Something accessible, simple, and different from what you've seen...
