Discomfort is a compass

Discomfort is a compass

DM

Devin McDermott

For too many years, I let my internal resistance guide my actions.

If something was too uncomfortable, I wouldn't do it.

And even worse than not doing it, I'd usually find a way to escape that discomfort instead.

One of the greatest things to ever happen in my personal development journey has been learning how to sit with discomfort, move through it with resilience and grace, and even being able to find joy in leaning into it with a semi-sadistic glee that feels both slightly crazy and extremely powerful at the same time.

When you learn how to be okay with discomfort instead of running from it...

Everything changes.

Instead of going down the doomscroll rabbithole whenever you have a little bit of boredom...

You learn how to be okay with "just being."

Instead of avoiding things that would be good for your growth...

Your discomfort becomes a compass that shows you where you should probably look next.

Instead of loading up tube sites when you're lonely or stressed...

You can just work through that shit naturally, in healthier ways, and move on with your day without doing anything that undercuts your mojo.

The problem is, though, that for most guys their patterns of escapism are so deeply ingrained, so firmly lodged in their subconscious minds, that they aren't even really aware of the pattern they wind up in until they're already well down that road.

They've been scrolling for 2 hours by the time they realize how much time they're wasting.

Or that post-nut clarity hits and they wonder "wtf, how did I even end up here?..."

It can be a real challenge to undo those patterns that have been there for so many years, and replace them with healthier patterns instead.

Trust me, I've been there.

And frankly, I wasn't able to do it alone.

I needed help. Clear guidance. Proven strategies. Because my patterns were so deep that they were running the show...

That was 5 years ago.

And I'll forever look back at that decision to do whatever it took to quit porn as being one of the smartest, most pivotal moments in my life. I reached out. Got the help I needed. It took humility but it was (obviously) well worth it.

& I'd love to help you do the same.

I've dedicated the past 4 years of my career to helping guys quit porn and achieve personal transformations they never thought would be possible.

One of them literally just told me the other day,

"Not even having any urges anymore. Never thought it was possible [after over 30 years of using porn regularly].."

And if you're ready to quit for good, you could be next.
