Honing your masculine edge
Devin McDermott
The world went crazy for a few years.
Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say it's been going crazy for decades, and we just saw a crescendo of absolute madness over the past few years.
The culmination of years of twisted, ass-backwards thinking in the mass consciousness has led to a world of inverted polarities, where women are trained to be more masculine and men have been absolutely pussified in so many ways. Low testosterone, wishy washy, emotionally immature, feminized "manhood" has become widely normalized and for a while even seemed to be celebrated.
Perhaps it still is in some circles.
But, thank God, most of us seem to have woken up from the fever dream.
I saw the trajectory a number of years ago and realized that, most probably, I'd feel a lot better if I were more in touch with the masculine part of my essence. I couldn't have known back then just how right I was, but embarking on that journey of masculine self improvement is one of the most important "fork-in-the-road" moments I've had in my life - and probably ever will.
Because, indeed, I've found it to be incredibly more satisfying.
To defeminize myself and live with a clear sense of purpose, integrity, and drive. To feel my confidence, the strength of my body, to be honoring my potential. To show up better with my friends, with women, and in my relationship. To be the kind of leader I believe the world needs more of. The kind of man who leads other men into better lives, so that collectively we can lead our families and loved ones down better paths too.
That's special.
And it's not something I share lightly, nor to toot my own horn.
I just fundamentally believe that this journey, which I've come to think of as the modern man's "rite-of-passage," is deeply important to the health of us as individuals, the health of our families, and by extension the health of our society at large.
Because as the old trope goes, weak men create hard times.
And strong men create better times.
... and I think we can agree that the world could use some better times!
The question is, how do you begin? Or if you've been on this self improvement journey for a while, how do you kick it into the next level?
Here's the truth most won't tell you because they don't even know:
Nothing undermines masculine energy like pornography. Although masturbating into tissues, even without porn, has to be a close second when it's done excessively. From tanking your Testosterone levels, to ruining your confidence, to blunting your mental clarity and your edge... an uncontrolled sexual drive fundamentally weakens a man. It's our Achilles' heel. And you don't have to look far to see it.
For example:
Some of history's biggest names have been brought low by their lust. From Bill Clinton to Tiger Woods to biblical figures like King David... the writing is on the wall. Lust can ruin a man. And it's a problem that lives in the hearts and homes of even your most "normal" man, not just these Titanesque figures.
But hey, you probably already realize this.
And yet you've been spinning your wheels in the relapse cycle?
Perhaps it's time to do something different, so you can close that chapter and let your better self naturally come forth.
