How to be who you're meant to be

s I frankly didn't realize how far I'd fallen.

In hindsight I can see why - because we're so good at adapting that whatever we're experiencing quickly becomes our "normal." Couple that with the fact that the erosion of our dopamine pathways, motivation, mental clarity, libido, self-image and more that occurs when we're using porn and other high-stimulation behaviors... accumulates slowly, day by day, without ever experiencing a sudden earthshattering shift that "wakes us up" and...

Well, often, people just don't realize how far down the wrong road they are until they're waaaay down it and experiencing some pretty hard realities.

Discover how porn affects your brain in 15 ways that change neural pathways and impact every aspect of your performance.

Not to be too explicit, but... like when I couldn't keep it up for women anymore.

That was my harsh wake-up that something was deeply wrong.

But as I started working backwards to analyze what was going on with me, I realized that my lack of vitality in the bedroom was just the tip of the iceberg. Truth be told, I was underperforming in every major area that I cared about, and in hindsight it isn't a surprise.

Because you can only perform as well as your neurochemical baseline allows.

In other words, you literally cannot perform at your best in work, leadership, or relationship if your brain's jacked up from bad habits. It just doesn't work. When your dopamine reward center and frontal cortex, the part of your brain responsible for clear thinking and decision making, are literally being damaged by porn and other highly draining behaviors, it cripples your potential.

But the good news is this:

It can be completely reversed.

Neuroplasticity is a marvelous thing. When you remove the toxic influence of these behaviors from your lifestyle, and you keep it that way, your brain will slowly return to its natural baseline over time. And that means that over time you'll start to experience more and more of the motivation, mental clarity, pleasure, self-confidence and more that had been slowly eroding for years.

It's not a question of if that healing will happen, but when.

The main question then becomes, how do you quit and keep it that way? Because take it from me, who relapsed time and time again, you want to keep it that way. Bouncing back and forth for years sucks.
