The late, great Jim Rohn once said..

"If you don't like how things are, chaaaange it. You are not a treeeee."

(Italicized to personify that funny tone of voice he always used for emphasis lol)

And while he, regrettably, is no longer walking the physical plane with us...

His words continue to live on.

Not just in the many resources he created.

But in the minds and hearts of the countless people who's lives he influenced for the better.

And what an awesome set of lessons in there.

One that comes to mind is that it's a worthwhile endeavor to create something worth being remembered for. Even if it's as "simple" as an incredible, well-rounded, happy family. Though that's no easy task, to be sure.

Another is from what I shared at the beginning.

That's the gift of the higher-order reasoning that humanity has been blessed with.

If you don't like something, well, thank the creator that you aren't a tree!

Unlike the tree...

You can change.

You can walk in a different direction.

Move to a whole different place.

Change your way of thinking.

Modify your habits.

Become healthier.

Become richer.

Whatever it is, you can change it.

🧠 The Hidden Impact
Learn how porn affects your brain in 15 ways that change neural pathways and impact every aspect of your performance.

But it starts with first believing that you can.

And to that I say... well, if I could do it, then you can too.

Cheesy? Yeah, probably. But it's also one of the things that helped me the most during the earlier stages of my journey... seeing others who weren't all that different from me, once upon a time, who'd been able to make a big change and *become someone different. *Someone better.

I've become a totally different beast than I was just 5 years ago.

And it never would have happened without quitting porn.

Because, unknown to me at the time, it was fundamentally damaging the parts of my brain that were directly connected to my energy levels, emotional stability, motivation, mental clarity, decision-making, and impulse control. My dopamine reward center was wrecked, and this one habit was causing and feeding a condition called Hypofrontality in my brain which was completely ruining my ability to make good choices that were in alignment with what I *said *I wanted my life to be like long-term.

The good news?

When I quit, those parts of my brain healed.

Neuroplasticity is pretty awesome.

And that opened the doors to a lot of other deep, fundamental changes to who I am, how I live, and what values I represent.

But it wasn't easy. At all.

Took literally years of effort.

Quitting was my #1 goal starting 8 years ago, and I finally quit about 5 years ago.

After literal years of intense, daily effort.

... and most guys won't put in that kind of effort, so it's not uncommon for me to work with guys who have been "trying to quit" for literally 10 years or more.

Maybe you feel me.

If you've been down that road and are still struggling, maybe it's time to try something different.
