Appreciate yo'self

Appreciate yo'self

Sometimes we can be awfully hard on ourselves.

Sometimes we can be so hard on ourselves that we don't really recognize how far we've come.

And yet, sometimes, there are situations that almost force us to take stock of just how far we've come, and I like to savor those moments as much as possible.

I'm in one currently.

It's been 4.5 years since I began traveling and living abroad, and it's been nearly 2 years since I last saw my family - incredible how time flies.

And this serves as a natural "mile-marker" of sorts.

Can't help but remember where I was at 2 years ago compared to the present day.

Sure, I had some things figured out really well back then.

But since then I've radically transformed my health for the better, reduced old food sensitivities to the point where I can eat whatever I want, learned a lot more about business, gone through massive changes in relationships, gotten way more physically fit, among some other things that frankly I'm not usually that aware of.

But it feels good to give yourself some props where they're due.

Although, frankly, when you're on the path of personal growth, none of us ever "arrives" and we're never truly where we want to be. Even though I'm currently living exactly the way I wanted to a few years ago, the goal-posts have moved. There are other things I want. Other objectives I'm moving towards, like the start-up I'm co-founding where we'll be launching our application to help men quit porn, BeFree, within the next couple weeks. Funny how it doesn't take very long after achieving a certain outcome before the brain naturally asks...

"What's next?"

But that's all well and good.

So as I write this and think about how far I've come, I just wanted to urge you to take a few moments to do the same thing. Naturally, there's more you want to achieve, and problems you need to overcome, but... if you look back to 1 year, 2 years, 5 years ago, and think about where you are currently... you'll probably notice that you've changed quite a bit.

And within that awareness lie 2 truths:

  1. That you've actually been doing awesome.
  2. That if you've come this far, you can certainly go a lot further too.

So, what's next?

What frontier have you yet to conquer?

And what's holding you back from getting there?

If you're anything like I was 5+ years ago, then porn is probably part of that answer. There's no other change I've made in the past 10 years that was as important and impactful as quitting that crap and healing my brain from the damage it had been causing since my teenage years. Which is why I've dedicated my work, my mission, and my passion to helping other guys quit, take control over their escapism and thus their lives, and become the kind of men they're proud to be...

And after over 4 years of helping 137+ different guys from all walks of life quit, you could say it's going well!

If you're the kind of guy who can dedicate himself to a guided, simple, but powerful step-by-step process, I'd love to help you turn things around too if it feels like a good fit.

Download the BeFree App today and start building the next chapter of your transformation story.
