
Weekend mental preparation

For many men, the weekends are where they struggle the most.
They have more time on their hands.
Their brains start whispering "you've done great this week, you deserve a reward."
Or "what a hellish week, you deserve something to take the edge off..."
Or "what's the big deal?"
And in this email, I want to help fortify you for the weekend ahead.
Two things:
One, the more intentional you can be about how you're spending your time, the more it'll help you stay away from the vices you may prefer to avoid - whether they be binging video games, drinking, or porn.
Two, is that your own mind is your greatest enemy. There's a part of you that will always try to rationalize why it's okay to do XYZ behaviors that you've chosen not to. So it's important that you are both very clear on why you're choosing not to do those things, and then also very clear that any thinking that tries to justify it is your enemy and should be disregarded completely.
Wanted to give you something tangible that you can chew on this weekend.
And if you need help overcoming the hurdles your mind is throwing at you, whether it's overcoming these rationalizations, learning how to crush your urges, or developing the emotional intelligence necessary to stop reaching for porn and escapism when you're experiencing something unpleasant...
Well, that's what I'm here to help with.
Because the truth is, that while some guys are fortunate enough to be able to just decide to quit porn and do it one day... most don't fall in that category. I know I certainly didn't. I needed a more comprehensive, well-rounded approach that tackled the problem from all angles. And until I had that, I kept spinning my wheels going clean for a few days or weeks, just to relapse hard and start all over again.
There's deeper work that has to happen to achieve that freedom long-term.
